        By Olwyn Rogers

    Well here we are

    Aren’t we a handsome pair !!!

Glenn is a retired Metallurgist, who enjoys pottering in the garden and has a great affection for the vacuum cleaner and his Computer. I have no problem with this. Glenn no longer attends the Shows but has been very supportive in making any runs, pens or cages as the need arose. He loves the cats and kittens and sometimes one can find him giving the little babies and the bigger ones, a cuddle. The boys and girls also have their share of his affection. This, I feel is good, especially for the show cats and kittens as they are exposed to the sight, sound of and being handled by a male human.

I am a retired Registered Nurse of thirty years of experience which I find invaluable in the care of the cats and kittens, being able to treat simple problems and recognizing the bigger ones needing professional intervention.

Since I started showing cats,  I have been an active member of  The Lonhair Cat Club of South Australia in the role of secretary, and currently hold the office of President. I also found time to train for a Group 1 Judge with the Governing Council Cat Fancy of SA and qualifyed in 2004 as a junior judge.

We have four very grown up children, a boy and three girls (in that order). The two younger girls enjoyed the cats, kittens and helping at a Show occasionally but, like all small things, they are now too grown up and have husbands and their own families. But they still know what to do if the need arises, to put a curtain in a show cage. There was a big gap in between the first two children and the last, the older ones had more or less left home when we started Tashmira and the younger ones were very young teenagers and therefore had more to do with what goes with cats, shows and kittens.
