Tashmira
Birman Cattery,
was established in 1986
with the purchase of a Seal
Point female
foundation cat,
Badarene Golden
Cinnamon. It is a
small cattery owned and maintained by
Olwyn and Glenn Rogers in Pasadena a suburb
of Adelaide, South Australia, a southern state within
Australia. The cattery is registered with The Governing Council
of the Cat Fancy of South Australia (Inc.),
GCCFSA,
which is an affiliate of the
Australian
Cat Federation (Inc.), ACF.
The
Cattery has remained
small using selective breeding practices
to achieve quality rather
than quantity.. We specialised
in breeding
seal and blue point birmans from day one, (1986) while in
1990 we diversified into breeding
the more friendly
and affable Red Factor
Birmans - the Red,
Cream, Seal and
Blue Tortoiseshell
which resulted in
overall improvement
in the
cat quality and
temperaments.
This
is our twentieth
year breeding longhair
cats as a hobby. Our
experience in breeding
quality birman cats
has been recognised
locally by being rewarded
with the
Group 1 Breeder
of the Year for
the past three
consequative years,
2002, 2003, 2004.
